Erin Carol Simmons is an attorney immersed in civil, domestic, and criminal litigation in Phenix City and surrounding areas. She joined Funderburk Law Group in 2024 after completing law school at Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University and successfully passing the Alabama State Bar Exam. 

Prior to law school, Erin served in many roles as a first responder to include an emergency 911 dispatcher in Savannah, Georgia, and a firefighter/first responder in Garden City, Georgia. She moved with her family to Fort Cavazos, Texas, as her husband served on active duty for the United States Army. While stationed in Texas, Erin completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a focus in Criminal Psychology, at Liberty University. The vigor with which she protected her community is the same attitude she brings to the representation of her clients. Her compassion, empathy, and determination add to her knowledge of the military and first responder community. Erin’s experiences in life make her an asset to Funderburk Law Group and a tenacious trial advocate. 

Erin is a military spouse and devoted mother of 5. She enjoys spending time with her children in her spare time as well as crafting and painting. She and her family reside in Columbus, Georgia.
